In times like these when social distancing should be practiced the most, our country is a few hours away from celebrating the laying of the foundation stone of the #RamTemple in #Ayodhya, where as many as 175 eminent guests, including 135 seers have been invited along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Now I know a lot of sentiments are attached with Ram Mandir but was this ceremony needed? Besides the guests and invitees, there's a number that we need to consider first, the number of people who participated in the preparation of this ceremony. If someone makes an argument that this preparation gave them jobs then ok I'm taking a step back because maybe you are right but was a ceremony needed? Couldn't the trust have supported the same number of workers with funds to survive during the pandemic and would have gone with the option of doing a small pooja and moving on? Moreover, was this so necessary at this time? And RSVP from the Prime Minister of the country just makes it worse. I'm wondering if our PM would have asked the trust to go one with a small ceremony and no guest, would they have refused?

How can you expect your followers to practice social distancing when you can't? This is a question to the leader of my country and the leader who speaks on behalf of God in Ayodhya.
